NaNoWriMo: Tip Two

This week I’ll be helping you prepare for the annual#NaNoWriMo which also starts this week. I’ve written 6 tips specifically for this, which will be posted over the next 6 days.

Writing fiction seems easy enough, but you have to create characters that are believable.

Think about the characters that will be in your book. Flesh them out. What are their names? What are they driven by? What habits do they have? How are they connected? What roles will they play in your book?

This is well worth exploring because as a writer, you have to know your characters better than anyone. Knowing what type of person your main character is will help you create a scene where they are forced to respond to a situation.

Are your characters totally made up or inspired by real life people?

Have you lived a life that would make a good book?

Are you eager to start writing about your experiences, but don’t know where to start?

This book will help alleviate your anxieties about writing and introduce you into gentle writing practices.

This book will encourage you to assess your past, identify the significant points and direct you to begin documenting your journey.
