A whole collection of my writing, articles, interviews and reviews has been deleted from a website without me being notified beforehand.
I found out by chance and was so angry at first. I wanted to scream and shout. I wanted to cry. I was gutted that an entire online portfolio could be wiped out like that with no thought at all given to the person who spent time creating that work.
I do feel that writing is often undervalued. It takes time to put something of value together. I like my older stuff because I can use that to measure my creative growth. In regards to that particular collection of work, there’s nothing to measure now. It’s gone.
But I won’t dwell. I won’t throw a self-pity party. I’ll just focus on creating new work, new pieces to be proud of, take lessons from this but not let it stop me from rebuilding what was lost.
The actual work has been deleted but my actual progress and personal branding continues to grow.
In the meantime, I’m currently writing my fifth book. 😀
My passion and creativity still lives. My drive is still there and my goals are within reach.
I love writing. For me, it will always be personal.
